My visual arts practice primarily involves drawing, painting and mixed media techniques on paper, canvas and textured surfaces. I am inspired by regional, rustic landscapes, structures, native birds, flora and skyscapes. My process involves a confident, expressive use of colour, movement and line. Textured surfaces and subtle transparent layers, expose the viewer to fleeting moments, a changing landscape, and well worn patinas. Traditional scenes are recontextualised, revisited and transformed.  A strong emphasis on drawing underpins my artworks.

My work is contemporary, innovative and alive with movement and colour. I enjoy creating a point of difference with my audience.

Country life is always inspiring to me. I am always on the look out for visual stimulation, finding joy in the everyday subjects which surround me, such as beautiful bird life, old shearing sheds, rural landscapes and native flora.

After a few successful shows recently and a major win including the 2016 MAMA Art Prize my work is becoming well sought after.
